a few poems and lyrics i find really inspirational..we all need it sometimes!

Dont You Quit,  Author Unknown
When things go wrong as they sometimes will
When the road your trudging is all uphill
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow –
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
Whe he might have captured the victor’s cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out –
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Far away

By Joseph D. Neloff

And the journey started with a song,
a great ballad from yesterday.
The pilgrims plight,
is and endless flight,
to the land called Faraway
On the journey he saw shades of night,
and he passed through skies of gray.
But, he stayed forthright,
as he searched for light,
and the land called Faraway.

On the journey he made countless friends,
and avoided countless enemies.
And he prayed each night,
that he’d earn the right,
t
o the land called Faraway.

Though, he longed for glory,
his body grew old and fray.
A soul long lost,
is the dreamers cost,
in the land called Faraway.

He lay down in a green meadow,
for he knew his time was nigh.
He relived each scene,
of his minds sweet dreams,
to the land of Faraway.

And though each breath was labored,
each heartbeat found the truth.
And he saw that life,
was both joy and strife,
in the land called Faraway.

And as the darkness took him,
his hopes were bright and gay.
For he’d be one,
with the setting sun,
and the land called Faraway.

Lyrics from ‘At least were dreaming’ by Eve6

When do we get to the part where I can go home
Been hiding inside the jungle gym for way to long
Waiting for someone to come along and find me
Living in apartment that bums me out
It don’t get better when the lights go out
Waiting for someone to come along and find me
Swimming through the aisles of the grocery store
I don’t even know what I’m looking for
I’m waiting for someone to come along and find me

At least I’m breathin
At least I’m alive
As long as I’m dreamin
Everything’s gonna be alright

Down to the corner to call Colette
Your mother wants to know are you happy yet
Waiting for someone to come along and find you
Going out at night looking for distraction
Sleeping through the day, there’s no redemption
Waiting for someone to come along and find you

At least you’re breathin
At least you’re alive
As long as you’re dreamin
Everything’s gonna be alright
See everything’s gonna be alright…

I’m alright, I tell myself twice
In the mirror before I can’t go to sleep at night
I need a lullaby, I need some time
I need to get a dime bag from my guy

At least we’re breathing
At least we’re alive
As long as we’re dreamin
Everything’s gonna be all…
Everything’s gonna be alright

I’m alright, I tell myself twice
In the mirror before I can’t go to sleep at night
I need a lullaby, I need some time
I need to get a dime bag from my guy

I’m alright, I tell myself twice
In the mirror before I can’t go to sleep at night
I need a lullaby, I need some time
I need to find my way back home
I need to find my way back home
I need to get time bag from my guy…

A bit from another eve6 song ‘Friend Of Mine’

We walked the promenade in the rain
With velcro shoes and an ice cream stain
You’re the only one who understands
Remember the Blake said to make sure you wake
And help save your generation
